I've spent almost all day working, and now I'm bored with it.  I don't have a good confession though, just wanted to complain about this boring, slow moving day.

Elisha, do tell :-) Hee hee! I have a confession: I am really torn. I do want to find a job and work full time while we are here. I am really surprised it has been this difficult for me to find a job here.On the other hand, I don't mind being off for a few months, since we can financially afford it.

haha well she got engaged first, and orginally she was having the wedding in MArch, so FI starting planning ours for October (clearly many months later) Well she and her FI didn't save any money, like at all. So I've been trying to help her cut some corners and work on a budget but they just won't set a budget. So they had to move the wedding back two months so they could have it outdoors (meaning less expensive) So they have no budget and keep coming up with all these plans an no way to follow through with it.

Confession: I really really want B to get a high enough salary that I can be done with working forever. I am slightly resentful because I have been supporting him since we first started living together. In my mind, those 3 years of paying his bills (incl tuition) before we got married should totally = lifetime of cushy SAHW-ing

E - that's awful. Here's my confession. 1) I just voted a straight ticket for the first time ever. I just want the incumbents out of office. Our taxes are way too high in Jersey. 2) I'm tutoring DHs cousin this afternoon. I'm not really looking forward to it. He talks in third person a lot and calls himself "Mikey Milkshakes" as his "mob" name.
  • edited December 2011
I wonder what my mob name would be. Nunu Noodles probably.Confession: I have gained 9lbs since the wedding. In less than two months, I gained 9lbs. It will take me at least twice as long to get rid of it. FML.

Well they live in MO. It's driving me nuts that they won't do some things like consider cutting the guest list. (They are inviting more people then my FI and I are) Outdoor smaller wedding are nothing to be embarassed of it could be something really nice, but she has us wearing expensive gowns (yes she wants us to wear floor length gowns) in a park and sit on picnic benches. I'm afraid that either they won't have the money saved by May and they'll have to push it back again (closer to ours) or that they'll do it and then get p!ssed when they come to ours and see how different it is. I can't tell her anything about my wedding because she starts to get all huffy and talk about how my wedding is "way nicer" and hers is going to be "not so great" I've never once told her that hers wasn't going to be great. I would never say that to any Bride To Be. No matter what it's the day of her dreams, but it's driving me nuts!Sorry WOT :-/

Oh, here's a confession:As many of you know, I'm annoyed with multiple things about my friend's wedding that I'm in next weekend.  I've been trying to hold it in.  But she is not having ANY bridal party transportation...and we will only have 1 car in town for the wedding.  I have to be at her house at 9 to get ready for a 3 pm wedding and she is about 25 minutes from my parents house.  So DH has to drive me out there, drive back to my parents and the come and pick me (and our other friend) up, drive us to the church for pictures at 1:30 and kill time until the ceremony.  And then wait for us at the church to head to the reception.  I find this beyond annoying.  If you aren't going to have transportation, then why don't we all freaking meet at the church?!  Gah.

Ugh, those situations sound super frustrating KR and E! E- Doesn't she have any vendors booked? If she does, how can she keep moving the date around?

Jenny - I think I could definitely be a SAHW/M.  I don't blame you at all for taking a break off for a while - esp. after all your classes and thesis and working.  You did a lot! You deserve some time to yourself! :) E - omgoodness, that would drive me INSANE.  Props to you, girl, because I wouldn't be able to put up with that pettiness.KR - You are a saint.  I've said this time and time again - you truly are.  This bride/wedding is a total clusterfcuk - pardon my language - but it really is! Between the shower, the dress and now this?!  This girl better give you an AWESOME gift for being in this bridal party - that's for sure! ;)

See that's what's so frustrating (sorry to vent, I didn't realize but I guess I needed to get this out lol) There are hardly any vendors. No caterer, They are making their own food. No DJ, They have a friend or some one who is helping out with this. She is stressing out over renting chairs for the ceremony because they are too expensive, and she found them for $1.15 a piece. Which is not a terrible price at all.

Nunu Noodles probably.made me laugh alot.  :) Nunu - I've been trying to lose weight like crazy, more-so than before the wedding.  But this post-wedding-lull thing sucks.  But the gym I'm joining is opening up at the end of this month.  Hopefully that will help. Something has to or I'm afraid I'll never have my own children.

N - I gained 20 lbs over the 2 years after the wedding. After another 6 months, I've only got half of that weight off, and I'm still nowhere close to looking as tones as I did in our HM pics. FML indeed.

Confession: My MOH for my wedding got engaged 2 weeks ago and is now planning her own wedding for July 2010 in the Thousand Islands for 250 ppl (which is usually an area weddings book 1+ years in advance). Her wedding is 3 days before the bar exam (which I will be taking). EEk! I feel like my own wedding has really taken a backseat to hers (which is fine, it's my wedding and her wedding) but things she previously was planning, i.e bachelorette party, she is like, oh well we don’t need to plan anything. :-(. Makes me sad. I’m in her wedding, but no roles have been assigned yet, so I don’t know what I can do to help.

I've gained about 10 pounds since my wedding too. I really need to get rid of it.
  • edited December 2011
Bri, can someone else plan the bachelorette party for your MOH?  Or make the arrangements yourself if there is something you really want to do!  No reason that she needs to plan it or it not to happen!

I have a slight confession:DH is really sick and it seems like his symptoms fit the H1N1 but I'm not gonna be all paranoid and assume he has it.  So we're going tonight after I get off of work to the Urgent Care Center (kind of like an ER but quicker) and I'm kinda grumpy that he wouldn't go by himself during the day.  He wants to wait until I get home to go so I'll be stuck there for a few hours.

KRM - yes, I sent her an email today with some of my close friends here in PGH that could plan it (their contact info) - none of them have heard from her. I just don't want to step on her toes or anything. It's kind of a big deal to me if it doesn't happen, but I don't want to add stress to her life or anything. DF says I need to tell her it;s a big deal to me, but I am trying to keep everyone happy these days. I have another confession: I can't keep any of my 30 day shred challenges. the wedding is 60 days away and I am lucky if I get 1 or 2 workouts in a week. WW has helped me keep my weight down, but my triceps are looking mighty flabby.

I thought of one: Today is the first time I'm not voting. I know who I'd vote for for governor, but I'm not really enthusiastic about it. I tried to look at the other candidates' info, but my mind is elsewhere. I am just plain apathetic this time.
