Oops or no oops?

I just finished about 50 Save the Dates (early start I know) only to realize that I forgot to put the words "Formal Invitation to Follow". Because it's all hand made and has different parts to it I can't really go back and fix that.

It's ok if I don't put it right? People know that this isn't really the invitation. Right?

As long as it says, "Save the Date" I think it's fine.

It's probably ok.  

Although ours actually did say "formal invitation to follow" and people still thought it was the actual invite.  I guess there's no fixing stupid.

Don't stress.  I didn't put "invitation to follow" on mine.  Everyone understood that they would be invited.

I forgot to put "Formal invitation to follow" on mine when I designed them, but since I just sent mine out via email, I added it to the subject line.  If you're really worried about it, maybe you could add it somewhere to the envelope?

That shouldn't be an issue.  I've receive std and I don't remember if they said formal invite to follow of not.  I just marked the day on the calendar and went on my way.  Most ppl will know it's not an invitation.

I agree. I think most people will understand that you are just giving them the heads up and will not be concerned about it. If you are sending them out in the next few months maybe when you see your family around the holidays just mention the STD and let them know that the invite will be in the mail closer to the wedding date.

What do they look like? Any way to add another element that just says invitation to follow? Post a picture -- maybe someone can help figure out a good way to add it.

I think I'll just leave it off. It doesn't even look like a formal invitation. I'll post a pic up later tonight but I think most people will understand it's not an invitation, and just a STD.
