Surprise date with DH!

Tomorrow night I'm taking him to the Ringling Brothers circus!  Is anyone else going this weekend?  I kind of doubt it but figured I'd ask. He has told me a few times that he's never been to a circus and would like to go, so for the past couple of years I've gotten all excited every time I heard about one.  This is the first time it's actually worked out and I was able to get tickets.  We are in the nose bleeds, but there is an all access pre-show one hour prior to the start.  You get to go on the floor, meet some of the circus people, etc.   Hopefully it will be neat!Ok, end of AW!

He knows we're going somewhere but he doesn't know where.  I think I'll send the tickets to work with him tomorrow or something.

I hope you have a good time. That was a great surprise on your part. Personally, I am against circuses, which I'm sure will eventually cause issues with our kids.

oh! that will be fun! FI just sent me an email asked me when I want to go- I've never been either. I'm not a big fan of clowns tho...  That's so cute that you are surprising G! Have fun!

how sweet you are surprising your DH :)Shannon- I kind of feel the same way you do about the whole circus thing. For years I would take the families i work with to the circus...I just always felt bad for the animals

Sonya-pretty much for the reason Jess listed. I feel bad for the animals because they are not housed or treated in the best conditions.

It was hard. I asked him about a million times if he wanted to know!  He didn't, so that made it fun, too.

I'm really against circuses too.  But, I did go like 3 years ago with DH and cried like a baby because I felt bad for the animals, and I vowed that I would never ever go to a circus ever again.  We did the pre-show thing too and got pics with the clowns.  You guys will have a good time.

I really hope they are taking good care of them!  I guess being on the road as an animal has to be pretty tough, though.  It's hard enough on humans.

I think it's a super fun idea. I'd never been to the circus untill last year, I thought it was pretty entertaining, but the tigers made me sad. The acrobats and things like that were awesome. I think you guys will have fun!
