Wedding Invitations & Paper

My DIY lace invitations (PIP)

So I decided awhile ago to make my own invites, and I finally have a full mock up of them!  I designed them myself in Photoshop using a wedding paper divas design as inspiration, had them printed at catprint.com, and ordered my pockets from cardsandpockets.com.  Then I assembled everything myself.  I ordered lace off of eBay to make belly bands.  Here is the result!

Invites:

(sorry for the camera cord shadow!)

front of the invite - we will be using a pearl instead of the purple bead like we have here

 back of invite

Best part is, my mom has volunteered to cut & sew all the lace pieces!

  • They are beautiful but I would edit them and black out your names from the invitation.
  • They look so nice. Beautiful job!

  • Great job! I love the lace!
  • Ive seen others post picture of DIY invitations and never thought much of them but this is spectacular! I want to do something similar and love that you posted where you got things from. Was it much more cost efficient to do them yourself or did you just not find what you were looking for (or both!)?

</div><div>Thanks!  It was a little bit of both...but definitely WAY more cost effective to do them myself.  Like probably half or a third of the cost.  I would recommend it, a good way to save money =]

  • Those are GORGEOUS!!!  If I have the time, I might go the DIY route . . . I'm pricing things online, and given that I have such a huge family, I think 15% of my budget would be in JUST invites.  Craziness!!!  You've given me some inspiration, though!
