Recommended makeup artist?

Hi ladies,My wedding is set for August of next year and I am trying to find a makeup artist for the big day. I contacted someone whose names is not ringing a bell at the current moment whose studio is located in the Shadyside section of the city but I have not heard anything back from them regarding my initial inquiry. I'm kinda bummed since they were recommended and were solely a makeup venue (as opposed to hair & nails). I'm getting married at Heinz Chapel and will most likely be getting ready in the Oakland/downtown area-tbd.If anyone has any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it. TIA!

Welcome to the boards and congratulations! My daughter got married in Heinz Chapel three weeks ago. About three posts above this one is The Pittsburgh Recommended Vendors - if you click on it, you will find all kinds of information and contact info. :)

I used Clare from Ciel Cosmetics. She was fabulous. I hope that helps you; I know several ladies on here have used her as well.

Ditto Kwynn - I went with Clare and she was fabulous.  Just so calming and relaxing, she was really nice and my make up looked awesome!

Thanks ladies for your replies. For the ones who had recommended Clare, I did in fact contact her but unfor. she is already booked for my date. I came across a J. Palmero but wasn't that interested since she requires a 3 person minimum and I was really only looking to splurge on makeup for myself and her rates were rather high. I also contacted BEK Makeup (found someone on the PGH board that had recommended them) but haven't herad anything back yet. The other places listed on the PGH sheet of recommended vendors seemed to be gearmed more towards fake eyelashes. If anyone has other places they could recommend besides the ones I listed above, I would really appreciate it. Getting a little frazzled since people seem to be either booked already or are way too much for makeup services.TIA again!
