Dicer2 and Bel138

Hey ladies! Is it worth driving out to that new Market District? Is it as amazing as they say in the paper? I want to go check it out.

It's right before Robinson, right along the parkway on the right.  There's a PF Changs in the same plaza that you can see from the highway.I seriously did not look around much because I was too pissed at how difficult it was to get a cart through the aisles.  I'm sure once it dies down, it will be fun to shop there.  There is supposed to be a lot of variety such as many kinds of cheese, unusal meats like buffalo and elk, etc.  I like any grocery store that has new carts that don't rattle and veer to one side.  They had honeycrisp apples which I haven't been able to find elsewhere.

I work right next to the area and everyone is buzzing about it. A lot of people go up there for lunch...its quick, easy & hear they have great options :) I personally have never been. But that whole area is growing up there so if you give it a few months there will be even more options besides the Market District.

I was fairly impressed. FI and I consider ourselves to be foodies, and we found just about everything we wanted. I won't lie, we went 3 times this weekend. Friday night to scope out the situation, Saturday afternoon for Ted Allen, and Saturday night for dinner (with beer!) and grocery shopping. It's very accessible. It's RIGHT off the Ridge Road exit of 22/30. The prices (so far) seem to be the same as regular GE for everyday items. They were having huge sales, so we got a lot of higher end stuff for a good price too.We ended up getting like 4 lbs of parm because of the sale and we go through it so quick. We also got two steaks of dry aged beef for dinner last night. It was the best meat I've ever had. (I had never had dry aged before.) It was only like $20 for both. The health and beauty section was insane, and they have comsemtologists and nutritionists on staff. They even have an exotic olive oil and vinegar bar where you can fill up your own containers. They have some of the harder to find produce and ethnic items, even truffles!

We didn't check it out, but DH mentioned that he saw a really large baby section. My friend said she looked for my jerk rub and jerk barbeque sauce but couldn't find it.  That's the one thing I was hoping they'd have.
