Floral Budget

First appointment with potentional florist this Tuesday with no budget in mind, I don't even KNOW what a "normal" floral budget is. How many of you are doing real flowers, if so, if you don't mind me asking, what is your budget. If not, are you doing fake florals? Something else?

I can't afford flowers. 250 people and we splurged on the entertainment and food. Between mo mom and I we are growing annuals for the centerpieces, growing flowers for my boquet and buying my BM's clutch purses to carry!

I met with 5 different florists and today I finally made a decision, its going to be $1,300 that includes flowers for bridal party/parents as well as our reception flowers for all the tables.

My budget was $350, I now have to pay $495 and I'm considering cutting out the BMs bouquets and making them myself. Their bouquets cost almost as much as mine, I asked her to change them and she said there isn't much she can do. So I priced it out, I can spend $10 per bouquet if I make them. If I cut theirs out of the florist, I will be under budget.

Our reception package includes fresh floral centerpieces from the florist we are using, and our church will have Easter flowers still there, so the flowers we will be buying are for: my bouquet, 6 BM bouquets, corsages for both moms, bouts for FI, 6 GMs, our dads, and my gpa. So a total of 7 bouquets, 2 corsages, and 10 bouts....we are hoping to stay at $1000 or under. I am thinking prices vary geographically.

My budget is $540, on paper at least. Our estimate came in at $1000 from the florist, so we are doing some tweaking.

I did silk flowers.  Couldn't be bothered with dealing with florists.  My flowers were perfect, came two weeks before my wedding and the price was perfect.  She will make anything you want and her bouquets include a boutonniere in the pricing.  Hope this helps

We only need flowers for bridal party came in at 630 a little over my original budget but I really liked this guy how he handled everything and his response so were making deposit on Monday.

 We made a list of all the things and nubmered them in order of importance, and flowers was one of the last things to we nixed them. I will be getting a flower bouqet ($45) and my girls will hold pinwheels.

Thanks for the ideas, ladies. I'm hoping to use the BM bouquets for centerpieces on some outdoor high top tables which'll help...a little!

Since we have 2 different rooms I am also using the BM's bouquets for some of the centerpieces after the ceremony... We are budgeting about 1200 to 1300 for flowers.

It depends on how you will be using flowers. My first wedding, I only used flowers for the bouquet, 2 bridesmaids, some corsages and boutennieres and a few on my cake. It came out to somewhere in the $130 - $150 range. I used candles for my centerpieces.

Our estimated budget was $1000, florist came in at $1800. We cut some things and got it down to $1300 and I'm happy with that.

We are hoping to spend under $1000, but are not sure if that will be possible for 15 (very simple!) centerpieces, 4 bouquets, 6 bouts, and 2-4 corsages. I'm meeting with the florist in a few weeks to see what is doablewith my budget.
