What would you do?

FMIL is going on a trip to France a couple days after the wedding with some family and friends. Her friend is a travel agent, so everything will be planned for the group. I would LOVE to go on this trip. Would it be weird to go on a group vacation instead of a traditional honeymoon? For our honeymoon we were thinking of doing a couple days in San Fran, and then a trip down the Pacific Coast highway. This would be very different then a River Boat Cruise with a group of people in France...

I personally wouldn't want to do it just because I really want to be have alone time with FI just me and him, especially after all the wedding stuff and how exhausted we will probably be. But I also don't neccessarily think it's weird. If you don't mind spending your honeymoon with FI's family and friends then I say go for it.

Yes, personally I wouldn't because I want time just myself and FI. However if it is what you and FI want that's your decision.

I'd want to have alone time with FI afterwards too. At the wedding you'll get pulled in so many directions with people wanting to chat and not even really seeing your FI that day. I think you'd be happier going on a trip with just your FI.

It's ultimately up to you, it's definitely not weird and it sounds fun. I wouldn't do that myself just because I want my honeymoon to be just me and FI. I'd want to spend time with my new husband after our wedding without other people. If you and your FI want to do this, by all means go for it!

If its what you think you'd like to do, Id say go for it! I would still suggest maybe a long weekend somewhere if you can afford it to have some "alone time". If he's going anyway, I'd love to tag along too!
