Good luck to your grandmother - I saw it in the post below. She's seems like she can use a win tonight! I stopped at Taco Bell after teaching tonight. DH isn't home so I didn't feel like cooking.

Oh - and DH preordered the game months ago. I have a feeling once he picks it up, I'll be a Call of Duty widow for a while.

Yeah, Call of duty has been preordered for months... i played it when we had it for the PS3, but the Xbox controller is too big for my hands and awkward so i never play it. That and you have to pay for an account on that, and not PS3.

The observer didn't show up tonight. I'm wondering if she'll come on Wednesday instead. I'm actually kind of glad she didn't show up. I was all over the place today. I kept losing track of what I was teaching and wandering off on all sorts of tangents.

What do you teach again?also, do you know if an online degree has teh same credibility as an on campus degree? Like from Penn State, not univ of phoenix.

R - DH bought it for PS3. For Christmas I'm getting him the new Assassin's Creed. He'll never get off the PS3 now.

I wish i could buy a controller the size of the PS3's for the Xbox, but oh well, I don't need to play video games anyway.  He had a PS3 a lot longer and someone convinced him to get a 360. That was what he bought with tax money, and i bought a surround sound system. which I think just made him more addicted to the games... lol.

The course that I'm being observed in is Human Biology for nonmajors. I also teach Microbiology and in the fall I'm going to teach Biotechnology for engineering - that is something I've never taught before and should be fun. I think the online degrees definitely depend upon the program. In science, which is all I'm familiar with, it's very hard to do online since there's so much practical application that can't be taught online. However, for bioinformatics, which is very computer based, the online programs are considered in the same light as a classroom course. I really don't know enough about anything outside of science. You might want to ask JennyBee tomorrow. She's a much better source of information on this than I am.

I'll have to do that, I don't work til 1 so i can post in the AM if i dont sleep in forever. Depends on when I go to bed though!I loved my bio classes i've taken, but not good in other kinds of science so no teaching or majoring in bio for me!

If you were a 68 year old woman that always hosted Thanksgiving for your family, would you like this? I'm thinking about throwing it together next week for my aunt for Thanksgiving.

I think it's really cheesy and lame, BUT, it's really easy to crochet and I won't have a chance to bake anything for the dinner, so I'm hoping this would take the place of some food since I can throw it in my suitcase.

That's what she said. I *think* it's an "The Office" thing. But, Molly and Dori use it alot and it cracks me up. Actually DH has been using it lately too, because his coworkers have started using it as well.
• edited December 2011
hahahahahahame and my friends and family use it all the time! I"m so happy I can bust it out on the boards now..awesome!
• edited December 2011
Hey ladies!TWSS is an "Office" reference. S-that totally stinks that the observer didn't come.  I hate when you get prepared for something like that then they are a no show-BTW, a 68 year old woman would LOVE that wreath.
