Good Morning Ladies! Hope everyone is doing well! My third day at work is good! I got my ID badge so I am official :-) Also, my boss is off to Dubai so I am on my own for the next few days!

Morning! Long day today.  I have to give a 2 hour presentation after work today on teaching lower level learners and kids with disabilities.  I hope I have enough material!

Good morning. I was supposed to pick up DH at 230 this afternoon, but now he won't be in until 1130 tonight. Yuck. The rest of the day should be ok though. I am teaching a lab with balloons tonight, which should provide plenty of laughs.

Good morning. Shannon - I always hated the chem profs who thought it was a fun idea to teach about the flammability of gasses by filling huge balloons and taking a match to them. *shudder*

Good morning!  My manager is out today and so is the business analyst that I work closely with.  Yay!Shannon - I can't believe they didn't show!  All that worry for nothing.Congrats on your ID JennyBee!  I need a new one, it still lists my old name.  We'll be getting them redone soon for our new building.

Thanks C! People have seen me around and know I am DH's wife, so the badge makes me feel like I belong ;-) Also, now I don't get strange looks when I make my own tea in the staff/faculty lounge, and the tea boy waits on me, and brings me a water every morning.

I feel bad for the tea boys, they don't get paid well at all, and most of them try to do other work on the side (cleaning houses, etc). Also, I feel terrible, but I am picky about my tea and I prefer to make it myself. So I have not asked him for tea yet...just water. I wish you all had tea boys too though! :-D Come to Doha and you will!

Morning!  I had to take my poor cat to the vet last night - he has an eye infection.   We have to give him drops 3 times a day, and he's not a happy camper.  But, on the up side - I think I see improvement already!

M - It would be way cooler if I was off to Dubai to help my boss with research! The conference actually applies to my job - so maybe next time ;-) Yeah, the tea boy situation is probably similar to the ladies room attendants.

Morning all.Busy day here for me. I'm off for an appt. with my knee surgeon this morning. The donor parts I've been waiting for are available. Which even though it ensures my surgery is coming soon. (This is a good thing)

Good Morning! Awesome game last night! Oh, and I tried tilapia for the first time (random, I know). It wasn't bad actually. Yay for more menu variety! S- I can't believe she didn't show! Erica, a teacher at DH's school offers a 6 week cooking class periodically, so we signed up for this one.  I think it is just a general class...I know tonight we are making salmon of some sort and then she is going to ask for suggestions for the other weeks.  It should be fun though - a lot of his coworkers and their SOs are taking it too.
