florist quote came back - plus updates on Patrick's upcoming move

Florist quote came back today at just a few dollars under 2x what we'd been wanting to spend. LOL. Well that's not gunna work. So I messaged her saying where I was willing to cut (after all the price did include a bouquet for me and my BM 'just to see what it would cost'... when i can make my own anyways!)  and asking for an updated price. I'm hoping to slash her quote by around $400-$500. Cross your fingers! LOL

Patrick's last day in the AF should be the last week of August. I can't believe I'm so close to having him here with me full time. I've NEVER had him in the same area as me.

The first quote I received was $1300 over my budget. I ended up not going with that florist because I felt like they completely disregarded the fact that I said THIS is the budget I need stay within. 

The florist I did end up booking went over everything with me and then asked my budget (which made me nervous). She said she would type up the estimate & get it to me in a few days but she knew we'd be under my budget for what I wanted & we were

Ha, our "way over budget" estimate was $1k. But our centerpieces don't require much by the way of flowers, so it's probably not near the volume of yours.

I do have a bouquet made, but wanted to see what hers would run, just for fact finding purposes.

I think you should stick with the bouquet you made, it's absolutely gorgeous!

My appt is next Tuesday and I'm feeling exactly the same way! Let us know what the florist says about the adjustment!
