We're having a catholic ceremony and are going to have my godmother as one reader and then FI wanted to have his step mom as the other reader. I'm fine with having her read but does this come off as disrespectful to his mom? They do get along really well but I just don't want his mom to be offended in any way. I'm going to post this in the catholic wedding message boards as well but wanted to get the opinions from this board first.
