FI and I registered last night.  FI had fun with the scanner!  I will check the registry monthly for updates or discontinued items. 
It's never too soon to register!!  Retailers make it so easy to be able to update/delete/add items via online.  Love it!

Not sure where you registered but Macy's will email you if something is discontinued.

We're going to register in August, mostly because that way we can do it before school starts back, since we won't have much free time after that.  I wish we could do it now, but everyone around here thinks that's a little early.  I don't really care though.

Registering's ridiculously fun! FI and I go into ours about once a month to update, it's true that Macy's will automatically email you if something on your registry's discontinued.

My FI won't let me start a registry yet. He says I have to wait till we have a venue

I would love to go to register now but FI wants to wait until we decide where we're going to be living.

Stinks because I walk through the store and I love everything.
