Hm, I thought the larger room at the PAA could fit something like 250? We were nowhere near that (we were estimating 150 at the time, and came in under that in the end), and since I didn't want to have a minimum, I steered far clear of that room.kabraham, Sally at the PAA should be able to tell you right away what their capacity is for their larger room (I believe it's called the Pennsylvania Room?)--they may be able to accommodate you. Our wedding was there a few weeks ago, and with a few minor glitches, everything went well. If you have specific questions about the PAA, you can page me here or email me at snorge2009 at hotmail dot com.

I'm coming in late here, but I doubt Heinz Field will be booked yet due to their booking policy. They only book a max of 12 months out and October might not book until April, actually, depending on the Pitt schedule, etc. They are worth a call!

I'm late too, and I don't really have any additional suggestions- just wanted to tell you that I feel your pain! We got engaged in August and just wanted to get married at our chapel sometime in the next YEAR...we didn't really care when. They had an opening in September so we took it-- then found out exactly HOW POPULAR September is! I felt like every place I called (which included most listed here!) was booked or too expensive! I'm sure you will find your spot!!!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm late in replying, but if you don't mind heading to the north side there's the pittsburgh project, a non profit org that has a v. pretty hall that seats up to 275.
