ETSY

I see a few items on Etsy...I'm hesitant about ordering.  How does it work?  Anyone have any good or bad stories to share about it?

I think you buy from people kind of like Ebay, but you pay the price they ask rather than bid.  I'm probably going to get my garters from there, since they have really cute sets that are handmade.

It's people that make stuff and then post it for sale. You pay the price posted and that's that. A lot of people take paypal only.

I love Etsy! I've bought several things from sellers on there :-) You basically buy stuff from their listings and if you want to do a custom order, you'd start a convo with the seller and work with them on what you want. Depending on what you're ordering, they'll send you pictures or 'proofs' as they're working on your item to get your approval, and then when it's done you'll buy your item through a 'reserved' listing.

I have also order things on Etsy. I have had no problems with any of the sellers I have dealt with. I always look at the reviews that other people leave it actually helps...

I agree with everyone above. Nothing but good things to say about Etsy, and some of my friends used that site to get a bridal bouquet and she was extremely pleased, not sure who the seller was, but again, haven't had any problems.

    Thanks you for the feedback!
I wanted to get a caketopper which was $180 om a specific website.  Seeing that many of you talk about Etsy..I decided to browse.  To my surprise, I seen the same cake topper for more than half the price lower!!  I will ordered from there.
