Trying to get some Checks!

I read everyones posts on here and am feeling a bit behind!! I am unsure where to start so thankfully am sitting down this weekend with my MOH (who was married two years ago so has experience) to try and get things sorted out. My colors are tiffany blue and brown and I'm unsure what type of flowers to go with given the time of year and my colors. What are you ladies doing for flowers?
When are you looking at bakeries? I think I am leaning towards cupcakes and their are several around the Portland, ME area but I wasn't sure when to start checking them out!
I have been waiting seven years for this and you would think I would have thought some of this out!!

My bouquet alone was just $60 including shipping and insurance, and got a ton of extra loose flowers to make my centerpieces.

I am doing mini cupcakes and am soo excited for it.

For flowers we are doing daisies and alstromeria's for the BM (in pink and yellow), the groomsmen will wear alstromerias as well as the mothers. My bouquet is hydrangeas, daisies and alstromerias(all in blue and white)

We are growing potted plants and then will be picking up loose babys breath stems.

Would a cram or white flower work into your color scheme?

Our colors are fuschia and navy blue...

Flowers:
For my bouquet: We are using fuschia colored hot lady roses
For BM's bouquets: We are using a mix of roses and carnations of lt, pink and fushcia.
FI's boutonnier: Will match my flowers
Groomsmen boutonnier: will match the BM's flowers
Centerpieces: We are sticking with the mix of carnation and roses more of the fushica color and hot pinks mixed.

I would ask your florist what they would suggest when it comes to flowers that go with your color scheme.

Cake:
We just met with a cake baker over a week ago. I would say go ahead and go and schedule a cake tasting it never too early for that.

OMG - I have never seen or heard of this site. The bouquets look beautiful and I could add my color in. Thank you!

We also used fake flowers (i think they are called true touch from hobby lobby... they look and feel real). We have purple calla lilies and white roses. The BM's have white calla lilies with purple on the inside. We got my bouquet and 4 BM's for around 60 bucks. FMIL made them for me... she does a great job at making bouquets!

As for the cake/cupcakes... we are having a family friend do ours and will meet with her within the nest couple of months, but I would go ahead and start looking now.
