My fiance and I had decided to have our ceremony in the church his parents currently attend and where his brother was married 2 years ago. He spoke with the priest in January and put a hold on our date. Now we are thinking that we may have made a mistake! We were at a festival last week and had the opportunity to visit the church where his parents were married and it is absolutely beautiful. We had previously discussed getting married there, but were so excited that we just went ahead and booked the other church. Now we are both conflicted. We love the new place, but FI also likes and knows the priest from his parents current church. He has also told us that he doesn't know if he will still be in our area and we may have to have someone else perform the ceremony. My hope is that he will be here, and be able to perform the ceremony in the other church. I guess I'm just curious if any of you ladies has had a similar experience, or how you would handle it. Sorry if this is confusing. Lol
