collecting addresses?

I was going to FB message some of my peoples that were inviting but now I'm wondering is there an etiquette for getting addresses? Is FB informal and I should text or call?

I'm soo not a fan of calling, as rude as this will sound I'm not a fan of talking on the phone for long periods of time. I talk with Fi fine but being long distance that's are obvious form of communication daily. I'm more of face to face person but i'm doubtful I will be able to see every one especially with some people being out of town.

What do you think ... is a fb message, text or should I suck it up an call people for addresses? A couple of my friends did each one lol

that's how I got most of my addresses... i don't see it as a problem... i might be wrong though

Good question! People have texted or emailed me in the past so I've just been doing the same. If there is a way to do it, I'd love to know also.

I'm in such a rush to get addresses we havent even ordered our std's lmao I think I will be waiting until we order them lol but I'm glad I won't be only one using FB.

Oh yeah FB's fine, that's how I got my friends' addresses :-)

Plus my uncle had just compiled an address list for my mom's entire side of the family so that came in super handy!

Start collecting now if you can. I'm almost done (missing four) and I've been collecting for like 3 months. Family is the worst. I will say though, I want to go back to an old school address book because it's so much easier in the long run. Thank goodness for my Pap who had it all in one place.

I had searched for most of mine on whitepages.com, then verified them with my grandparents and parents.  The few that I did not have, I facebooked the people directly.

I've been using FB and pimping family members to scroll through their rolodex, etc. to get addresses/phone numbers. I can totaly agree with the calling thing; because then they're going to want to chat you up about the wedding plans, and how everythings going, etc.

I text and used fb.  I even went on FI facebook and sent a message asking people to text me the addresses!  I had to, if I waited for him to get them it may have never happened!  He just thinks things magically get done!

I'm still old school and keep a phone book with everyone's phone numbers and addresses. I don't think I'm missing anyone's address.

Count yet another in on the FB/text/email way of obtaining addresses. And I harassed my parents to get the family and family friends I needed. Right now, the only ones missing (I think 7 of 130) are those on FI's side.

I also am little nervous about being rejected granted my list is 90 an if we got to 80 I'd be happy also little sad. It's split nicely even between family and close friends. But you never know.

Thats how I got a lot of addresses. I don't have everyone's number from FI side.

I used either facebook or text. If I had their phone number, I texted them. If not, then I sent a FB message.

Facebook and text from friends of ours and then for family my mom and his mom gave me the address since they know them

I used facebook and email to get peoples addresses. It did not take me long to get people to respond and I asked about 100 people. I think maybe 2 weeks (maybe this is a good sign for when people need to RSVP haha)
