Too early to register?

We are going to register this week at BBB. Is it too early? I know things can be discontinued so we'll definitely keep an eye on it, but wondering if 8 1/2 months out is ridiculous?

I just registered yesterday and I know a lot of other may 2013 brides have already registered as well

We have registered!  Of course we have time to make changes and adjust...but the main part is done. 

Also, figure you will have a bridal shower or some form of gathering in the next 5-6 months!  Time is going by fast....September is around the corner!

I already registered. My wedding planner told me to do it sooner because some people will use the list to buy you birthday presents, christmas presents, bridal shower presents etc. I would just review it and make adjustments periodically if you think you need to.

We registered at Belk and Bed Bath and Beyond last Tuesday.  Saturday night I made a Target registry online because they have some sheets that we really like and are more affordable than the other places.  

Go ahead and register.  You can always update if something gets discontinued.  And like pps said, Christmas is coming and some people may get you things off your registry for it.  Or they could just use black friday/holiday sales as a way to get things off your registry for super cheap.

Heck no! You can always edit your registries, also I know when FI and I registered we made a point to stay away from seasonal stuff unless we wanted to buy it ourselves and still earn registry credit (smart shopping FTW).
