Back on track.

So I rejoined WW today because I have fallen so far off track that I re-gained all the weight that I lost. I of course have no one to blame but myself but I took control today :)

Just thought i'd see how everyone else is doing with their weight loss.

  • I ate a lean cuisine for lunch rather than a pizza.  So I'm considering that a small success.  I need to get back to the gym but the y membership here is so expensive!

    I'm getting myself back on track today also. I know I've said that 93487239 times before but I got on the scale this morning & wanted to be sick. I'm almost back to my heaviest weight ever which scared the shitt out of me. 



  • Anna- I don't know where in SC you are but you should check out Planet Fitness, it's like $10 a month. They don't have classes or pools but they have the basic stuff you need to get back into the gym.

    And Yayyy Turtles- so exciting!

  • A little frustrated here lately but I keep going... I have been jogging about 3 miles everyday mixed with some weight lifting every other day but only lost .6 lbs... I know a loss is a loss but I would love for it to be at least a full lb. So back to the gym I go...

    That is how I feel too minus popping on the scale I can feel the difference in my work clothes though. So far I've done good today I'm probably skipping the gym as I have a huge exam tomorrow and really need to focus on that today otherwise tomorrow is a gym day!!!

    The Y is expensive here as well. I'm not a morning person but vowed to get up early at least 3x during the week and at least once on the weekend to go walking.

    I'm bigger now than when I was pregnant with my daughter (8 yrs ago!) :(
    But back then I was really small, now trying to find a healthy medium.
  • I started the paleo diet along with starting the Insanity workout regimen today (diet rich in proteins, veggies, and fruits) I am hoping to shed some weight after gaining it all back from last years weight loss of 20 Lbs. :( I am hoping tostay on track this time.

    I havn't really lost much weight (about 2 pounds, but thats residual from being really sick for a few weeks) but i've been getting back into an excersize routine.  Yesteryday FI and I went to the gym and lifted weights, then i went biking for almost an hour.   FI hadn't been to the gym in a really long time.  I'm hoping this startes kicking him there a bit.  He bounces back into shape annoyingly quickly, so i'm hoping he'll be ready/able to crazy hike when we go to California (Taho) next month :)

    Is it only the ladies that are trying to lose weight, or are your FI"s trying also?  My dropped a lot a few years ago doing a no carb thing, and its been creeping back on.  He's been bitching about it, so I think he's going to start trying to lose a bit too.

    FI and I don't want to lose weight, we want to tone. He will be joining the gym again Thursday, I on the other had just finished a zumba session and am looking for something else, I HATE the gym and working out!

    I think this is a good idea, we could all post a favorite easy recipe every week.

    I think my main struggle is trying to figure out what to eat for lunches.

    My FI is not our of shape by any means but he has horrible eating habits which don't help me. He works late sometimes until 4 in the morning and comes home and eats bad food. Like the other night was Burger King at 4 am and last night was 2 bags of snack size chips. He has said that he has "more a tummy" then he used to I just have to try to figure out how to get him to eat healthier.

  • FI is down 30 some pounds in the same time as my 25. Were exerciseing more but the biggest thing has been our eating. Neither of us can drink soda, and we've cut out as many processed foods as possible. We do our own cooking, don't eat out much and I keep starches to a minimum. Found some great nutrtional suppliments and peer support, so that has made a huge difference.

  • I need to get back on track, I vowed on my birthday to run some sort of organized event this year. I would say marathon but i dont know if I'll make it all the way lol my goal right now is a 5k, so I want to start the couch to 5k program and hit the gym too. I just bought some much needed running shoes yesterday so thats a start i guess but I really need to get it together on the dieting/eating healthy part. I hate cooking at home but between the fact that its healthier and cheaper I really need to work on it!

  • So far I'm basically down 60 pounds and have about 35 more to go. I feel like I'm doing well, I just wish it could happen faster lol

    I just checked my BMI yesterday and I'm happy to say that my BMI is no longer in the obese range, it is now just overweight! Which I think is pretty spectacular. When I reach my goal of 150, I will be in the normal weight range.

  • Maybe we should start a post every day/couple of days tracking out eating and workout habits.  One without the other probably won't work long term.  By posting it and tracking it we may notice small things we eat/drink etc that are hindering ourselves.

  • Good luck getting back on WWatchers. I've been doing it for about 18 weeks, and so far I've lost about 13 lbs. BMI was "overweight" when I started, now in the "normal" range! Very excited. I'm about 5 pounds away from my 10% goal (losing 10% of my starting weight) and I'm super excited. FI is doing WW with me too, so that helps so much, to be doing it together.

    I have a friend who is doing the couch to 5k too!! I think I'm going to try that too. I honestly don't need to lose weight but I really want to tone up and maintain my weight. I've been trying to get into a work out routine since January and nothing has stuck. I'm hoping summer break will allow me to really get into something I can maintain. I'm ok about watching what I eat but I definitely could be better!
