Anyone got plans for Halloween yet?

I have class.  And an exam during one of them.  Then I'm 99.9% sure I have to work.  So nothing really fun is going to happen.

On Halloween, we will just be passing out candy. I've never been to an adult halloween party, so I'm hoping to find one this year!

Nothing yet, as our friends who usually throw a party just had their first baby this weekend.

Will probably find something fun to do for the weekend prior, then stay at home and watch scary movies on Halloween night and give out candy in the neighborhood.

The kids are going trick or treating in my mom's neighborhood. They always have the best candy. Lol.

I'm going to be officially moving in with my FI around then, so I'm pretty sure we'll just be upacking and such.  I'm hoping to take a day and go to Salem, MA somewhere around Halloween- it's pretty awesome.

Our friends have to come to expect we will throw some sort of bash the weekend before or after.  My FI really gets into Halloween, making cutom costumes for himself, and he helped put one together for me last year.  And, we get the fog machine out, deck out the front yard and carve a bunch of pumpkins.  Even though we're the only house without kids in our cul-de-sac, we're working towards being the coolest house on Halloween.

I honestly hadn't even thought about it lol. We will probably stay in but if we do anything maybe just walk around the beach/downtown area. We hardly ever do anything unless we go to my FMILs house.

I have a dr appt, my daughter has a dentist appt (yes on Halloween!) then I'm taking her trick or treating.

</div><div>This reminds me of my cousins.  They had trouble having children for many years, but their house was completely decked out for Halloween.  They gave out big gifts bags with toys and full size candy bars for each kid.  Eventually their house became so popular, people came from all around to trick-or-treat there and they started taking donations to be given to charities.  They get written up in national newspapers every year because of the money they raise and how crazy their house looks!  For many years before they finally had beautiful twins, I think this was their way of having children in their lives even though they couldn't have any.

Not sure. FI has a baseball tournament out of state that prior weekend and since Halloween is during the week I don't think we'll be hitting any parties.

Almost every yr minus 2 Fi and I have hosted a Halloween party. He is considering come home for it but this is his last semester at school so I don't think he will. I'm hoping a friend has a party I love dressing up and have a great time with friends it's 10x better with Fi around but my friends are awesome at keeping me busy!

I have to work and I am sure there will be something school related that will need to be done. We never do anything. Most of the time I buy candy no trick or treaters never come...

Either the weekend before or after, I'm in a bonspiel (curling tournament). For the actual day, I doubt I'm doing anything exciting. It's a Wednesday, which is one of the free nights FI and I have together. I'm guessing it'll be dinner and tv!

I'm planning on how to get my bakery ready for the holiday. I have a black Christmas tree I have with Halloween decorations, and I put pumpkins under cake stands, I'm thinking of glitter gluing spiderwebs onto them this year. I hate fake spiderwebs, they take forever to clean up. I made that mistake more than once (fool me twice, shame on me...). Last year I had fake bats hand from the ceiling, but I'm thinking of makinf cheesecloth ghosts this year. And a flock of bats painted on the windows.

As for seasonal treats (other thanm making more pumpkin stuff), I make awesome seasonal flavored vegan marshmallows, pumpkin cupcakes (that look like pumpkins), meringue ghosts, and and anatomical heart-shaped cake-pies (it's a pie inside a cake) with rapsberry filling. Spooooooky!
I'm looking up new stuff, but I don't get ready for Halloween until October 1st.
