Honestly, do I have to.?? Come wedding time, FI and I will have been living together for a year and 2 weeks. We pretty much have everything, and by that time, everything will still be new. Anything that we won't have, we plan on buying within the next couple of months, like pictures and stuff for these bare walls. There's nothing else to put on our registry. I vote for us just taking cards. Idk. What are you doing.??

You totally do not have to register.  People make it into a way bigger deal than it is.  We're doing a very limited registery just for glasses and china at pottery barn.  Honestly, people will probably just give us money, which is fine.  I can take that money and go and buy the stuff from our registry.

If you don't have a registry though, you probably shouldn't have a shower.  People bring physical gifts to a shower, not money.  They'll be looking for a registry for a shower.

You don't have to make a registry, but they sure are fun :-)

If someone does host a shower, then you could make a small one since most would expect a registry and the point of a shower is to 'shower' you and FI with gifts.
