The stamps out right now

....suck. Haha, I am such a loser about paper products, but my FI and I have actually HAD our save the dates in a box in our living room for about ... a month and a half now, all because I couldn't find a damn stamp that I liked!! 

Ended up going with the bonsai trees since we're getting married in the woods. We'll be at a barn at Fallingwater, and there was an amazing stamp dedicated to Frank Lloyd Wright and Fallingwater in 1998 that would have been so perfect...I wanted to track those down but they were like $1.70 per stamp! No thanks. Too bad I didn't know 14 years ago that I'd be getting married there.

Anyway, we're finally sending them out today - so excited to hear what our guests think about them! I put a ton of time into them and am kinda in love.

I used the bonsai tree ones also! We sent ours out on Friday so I have just started hearing from everyone that has received them, so far everyone loves them! I was all worried about the stamps too, I bet most people don't even pay attention to that lol

I know I am not looking forward to that. We did postcards and the only stamp for those is a hawaiian shirt.. Might be worth doing a custom one because that will not look okay to me!

I'm horrible, I haven't even looked at stamps for our Save The Dates. I'm hoping that nice ones come out around Valentine's Day so I can find something with a heart for the invitations and response cards.

I looked for stamps this morning and they do suck!!! I dont know which one we will be doing but hopefully I will find one that we like.

Unfortunately I'm not using any special stamps. My boss offered to let me use the postage machine at work so I'm taking the free postage over cute stamps. Plus it's alot easier to just throw them in a machine and not have to put a stamp in every one!

My STDs are, for the most part, being hand delivered. I will need to ship 4 of them (beer bottles) so I'll need a bit more than a regular stamp, so I luckily wont have to start freaking about stamps until its time for the invites!

Ditto - Mamabear, did you address them even though you didnt mail them? I wasnt thinking too but FI wants to.

I am definitly going the cheap route on the stamps. Most people will just tare the envelope and throw it away. so cheap however the stamp look is what Im getting.lol

Yeah, the stamps right now do kinda suck. But I also don't wanna pay more to make custom ones like on Zazzle lol!

But I took so much time with every design element of my STD - kraft brown envelopes, the perfect font for printng the addresses, an awesome wrap around address label - that to just throw any old stamp on there seemed like such a shame! I admit it though completely, I have a WEIRD OCD about paper products. This whole thing was my first forray into legit "bridezilla" behavior (according to my father - "SEND THE DAMN THINGS")<div>
