where'd you get your BM dresses?

I'm struggling with finding BM dresses-- I don't have strong feelings towards the dresses and every girl lives in a different state, so there will be no group try-on where decisions can be made.

I'm stuck with Internet Explorer and 7 BM's who also don't seem to have a strong opinion on what they wear! So...

Where'd you get your BM dresses? Were there any other places you looked and loved? Did you order online (for your wedding or as a BM) without trying on in-person and if so, would you do it again?

TIA!

My girls are all scattered out also. so were just doing davids bridal. Since all of their dressesare made by the same company, I just went and picked out 3 of my faves and told the girls to pick which dress suits them better.

I used a local bridal shop for my girls dresses, we stuck with the Alfred Angelo brand. Alfred Angelo is in a ton of bridal shops and online.

I went with DB. I wanted the same dress for all girls, and they each went to DB in their cities and tried the same dress on. Thee out of town ones sent me pics and luckily it looked awesome on all 6!

I only have one woman in my WP and we got her dress at an outlet store.  Could they all just pick out their own dresses in the same color?

One of my BMs got her dress at David's Bridal, the other two got theirs for $10 from a local bridal consignment shop. I only wish I had known about the place before my one BM got her dress at David's, but who knows if she would've found anything because she's 6 feet tall lol.

As much as I didn't want to, I also went with Davids. 4 of my girls are in different states and it was the easiest way to go. I went with my curviest bm to have her try on a dress and see what looks good on her. I knew it would look good on all the others and they all seemed to like the dress. I love it and especially love the color. Guava!

I went with 3 of my 6 ladies to Alfred Angelo they all found dress and I texted other 3 ladies dress info. One lives near Alfred Angelo, other 2 live within driving distance as long as they order by Jan at latest they should have it in time! It also was decently priced!

3 of my girls bought theirs at Alfred Angelo and 2 of them bought theirs at DB. I let them choose whatever style they wanted (fabric too, actually), they just all had to be black.

The store I got my wedding dress at, had a ton of BP dresses so since my Maid of Honor was there with me, after I picked out my dress we went over and I let her look at ones there.

We ended up picking out a Dessy dress (long) and a Bill Levkoff (short) we picked out but I sent both to all my BM's and they all agreed on the Dessy so they will be driving up to the store where I got my dress the first Sat in January to order them (they all live 1.5hrs away)

We are doing Jcrew. I picked a color and a length and they can all pick their own dress. Jcrew frequently has sales and I have seen some of the options for as little as 60 dollars.

I looked on WeddingtonWay.com to show my BMs the options and found the same brands/dresses at a local bridal store. Ended up with Dessy- Alfred Sung brand.

We did a local shop, and by some miracle I had all my bridesmaids within an hour of me in August, so we all got together and picked out 2 styles.  Both styles are Bill Levkoff.  4 bridesmaids are in one style, because they are all pretty tiny and it looked great on them.  My 2 Matrons of Honor are in a different style.  We ended up switching the style a couple weeks ago, but it's still Bill Levkoff....but a long dress that we will be shortening to tea length.

My girls are all scattered everywhere as well, so I had the same issue. I was debating between dresses at AA and DB (both have locations all over). I took 2 of my girls (separate outings) - 1 from each end of the size spectrum - shopping... I wanted to make sure I found something that everyone would at least be comfortable wearing, even if they weren't in love with it (they all knew I wanted everyone in the same dress)...

I got mine through my bridal salon since they got a discount. I was back and forth between Lazaro and Jim Hjlem which is under the same brand.

I went with DB since I got my dress from there and they can each get $20 off.  I picked the color, fabric, and length (sangria, satin, short) and left the rest up to them since they all have different body types.

Thanks for the ideas! I didn't even know J Crew had BM dresses-- they're great! I also really like the idea of giving some criteria and letting them choose what they like best.

I so appreciate the info. I'm going to look through each of the websites and find some options!

    You're the best!
