My fiance and I picked out toasting flutes that we loved and registered for them at Bed Bath and Beyond. Someone purchased them off the registry and I was very excited about it.
Over the weekend, someone purchased another set of toasting glasses. My mom told me it was my sister in law. She was so excited because they were Vera Wang Amythyst which is what my girl's bridemaids dresses are and she told my mom she couldn't wait for me to open them. They are perfectly lovely glasses, but we really liked the other set better.
The issue is - which to keep and which to take back? Because I don't want or need two sets of $100+ toasting flutes. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I suppose some of it might depend on who the ones we registered for are from, but wouldn't a person buy toasting flutes assuming that we would use them at the wedding?
What would you do? Just trying to get some other opinions on this from people who aren't associated with any of the parties.
