I don't want to get into too much detail, but I think I just told my co-worker too much about a meeting I was in. I'm pretty secure in my job, but now I'm not so sure after this meeting...

Aww, Jen, you are too sweet! :) I'd love to come to Chicago one day; I've never been!I was thinking about how I always wear tanks and camis underneath everything and if I can't, I feel naked. I can't wear a t-shirt without a cami. When my sister was here (she's the same way, we have to wear undershirts under any kind of shirt at all times), she reminded me how we used to wear a sweatshirt with nothing underneath it back in the day. (Or just a bra and then a sweatshirt). Did anyone else do this in like 5th grade? WTH was wrong with me then? Haha...it just seems like the sweatshirt would be so scratchy!

I went to Frederick's when we were in Hollywood and got sized (I think I was hopeful that they'd tell me I was a bigger cup lol) Nope, they took me down two band sizes...then told me they don't even carry those in the store :-(

Kim, that sucks. I know the feeling. I'm sure it is fine, though. Just explain that it was a misunderstanding if questioned. Vibes for you!

Oh, clarification: telling my coworker is not making me feel insecure, it's the meeting- speculations of lay-offs and such.

Getting professionally measured for a bra was one of the best decisions I ever made.  I got it done at Saks, but most major department stores should be able to do it and will carry a variety of sizes.kwynn, I totally used to wear sweatshirts with nothing underneath in elementary school!  I don't think I could ever put up with wearing a cami every day though- I always get fussy and annoyed at layers.  My mom is the same way as you and your sis, though!

I haven't worn a real bra in ages. I hate them!I go braless when possible, and wear camis with the shelf bra in them. Most of the time, I wear pseudo bras that look like a cross between a bra and a sports bra. They sell them at Gap or Forever 21. They look like this:FWIW, I am a B-cup, and my bewbs will go down to a small B-cup now that I'm off BCP.

I have the same issue Jamie!  An online "find your size" calculator told me after I entered my measurements that my size is a 30C, which I've never seen in real life.QueenP - The water bra is so heavy in the front with all the water that the straps are super thick.  I'm not used to that, so it wasn't the most comfortable bra.  But it went well with my low-cut Bebe shirts.  :)

Kim, do you think they would have you in a meeting if they were discussing a layoff that could affect you? I just wondered. That would be pretty heartless to do that, right?

daveys, we're in a similar boat. I was shopping at Kaufmann's with my gma one year for college stuff and when we asked the salesgirl where my size bra would be, she directed me to the kid (training bra) section. I refused to go there. kwynn, I wear sweatshirts all the time with nothing under (or just a bra) around the house. They're never scratchy, though.

lafemme, camis annoy me too. All that elastic is uncomfortable. And how 'bout this turned from a confession post to a bewb convo? LOL

I can't wear sweatshirts without anything under them either!  Even sweaters bother me, unless they're super thin and tight, I always wear a cami underneath.

Who came up with the bra sizing system? The “plus sized” bras are related to cup size and no one seems to have a store that holds the big cups and big bands and big cups and little bands and why do most strapless bras only go to 36c? seriously?

I've never been sized for a bra, but I'm pretty sure I don't buy the right size.  I probably have about 15 bras, but I really wear 2 of them on a daily basis.I also have to wear something under sweatshirts and sweaters, unless the sweater is really fitted.I haven't done any work at all today, or yesterday for that matter.

Oh & to add to the plight of the non-endowed girls...VS usually doesn't even have my size in their bras! (At least they didn't used to...I stopped shopping there when I realized that) Seriously...we should write them letters or something to expand their sizing.

I am fine with just a "bra" for sweatshirts. M-- I had a donut and a piece of cake today and am contemplating eating my 100-cal pack of cookies too. FAIL.

Kim, do you think they would have you in a meeting if they were discussing a layoff that could affect you? I just wondered. That would be pretty heartless to do that, right? It was for all union members, so it could affect all of us. Thing is, my boss and co-worker are non-union.

D, I am an "endowed girl" (LOL) and VS doesn't carry my size either!  I am in for a letter writing campaign.  I used to go there and they would say "Oh, 34C is almost just like your size."  FAIL.  Totally not at all!!

LaFemmeRousse – I just got my first DD strapless bra about a month ago. I was so excited. But I have yet to see an adhesive one that big, and very rarely do I see a strapless in larger than a C cup.

Seriously, I'd have to shop in the little girls department too lol.  I guess it's "lucky" for me that girls seem to be growing up faster now....maybe I'll find something spiffy.  And I can't imagine wearing a 30 like they said I am...I bought a 32 from them recently and it's painful, I can't imagine losing another 2 inches.  There's nothing to support here, so why should I bother with the right band size lol. Here's a confession, I bought a nightie from them and I can't even get it on, I was litterally stuck in it and had to have DH help me out b/c I was having a hard time breathing as it was stuck over my face.  If I could get it on it would fit, but without there being elastic on it there's no way it'll budge.  I don't want to pay for shipping and it ticks me off that the size chart was so off on the item.  I'd just sew a zipper on it but I haven't done one in years and I don't want to ask my mom for help b/c I'm a prude lol.

I think the adhesive ones lie anyway. The cup sizes are certainly smaller than the average cup size of a regular bra, or so it seems anyway.

lol, Jamie, that happened to me once too, but with a dress. DH had to help me also! I tried getting their convertible dress for our HM and thought it looked so easy to style all the different ways. Wrong. So wrong! (Just another thing to add to our letter-writing campaign!)
