..for the ladies that have their dresses already, how many visits to the dress shop did it take yu to find yur dress.??..I'm trying to knock it out in one visit but a few ppl deemed it impossible. What do yu think.??

It took me a few stores to find a dress that I loved, but I know people who found and bought their dress at their first visit. It all depends on what dresses they have and how particular you are about how you want the dress to look.

I checked on store that was going out of business.  Then I went to David's Bridal and actually found a dress that I liked.  But it depends on what you want, and how good you are at making up your mind.

Only one for me too. I looked at several dresses online and it made it pretty easy to narrow it down once I tried a few on. I too am pretty decisive.

One store too!! And it was the very first dress I tried on   I would definitely suggest looking online first, to get an idea of what you like- then you have a focus when you get to the stores.

Honestly I found my dress the first time I ever went dress shopping and it was the first dress I ever tried on but I told myself that I needed to try on some other dresses to just make sure...I went to 4 diffferent bridal Salons and I must have tried on abbout 60 dresses...It was crazy but sure enough I stuck to the very first wedding dress I ever tried on. I am purchasing my dress this week. Very excited!!!

So to answer your question I think it all depends...if you know what your looking for it may not take long at all.

I went to 3 stores total, and went on 3 trips just b/c I had different people with me each time. My dress I found on the 2nd set of store visits, and I knew it was the one, but couldn't make it official until my sister/MOH could see it, once she approved, I ordered it a couple days later (once my credit card finally came in the mail!).

I needed to shop around to find my dress. I went to 3 salons on 5 seperate visits. I thought I'd found my dress on the 2nd visit, but felt I needed to look around (it was my 1st store, Davids) to be sure. I'm glad I did, because I ended up buying my dress at a local salon. I'm the type of person who needs to see her options before I can make a decision, but once I decide, I stick to it!

I went to too many stores and tried on even more dresses. It varies from person to person. But you will know. It may not be a HUGe omg it's THE dress moment, but you will have one none the less.

One thing dress shopping should NOT be is going to every store in town (or country), like those girls on SYTTD that have gone to 10+ stores and try on 20+ dresses at each. Going to that extent is completely ridiculous, and is probably the symptom of a much bigger problem.
