So I think I know what I want to do for my ceremony space...

...

Truth be told, I can't really afford to do too much to my ceremony space. But I think I figured out something affordable I can do to make the space elegant, but simple.

So I mentioned previously that I am doing an aisle runner. I think I am going to line both sides of the aisle with rose petals (is this something you think i can do with silk, fake petals or do you think they need to be real)

Then on each of the "head chairs" that are facing the aisle, I want to put sashes on the chairs, something like this:

But I want to use both colors (grey and green) like this:

But at the point where it gathers, I want to add an embelishment like this:

which just so happens to be the same brooch I am using on my cake.

So what do you think? I that enough? I can probably get away with doing it all for around $50 (because i already have the aisle runner). I'd love to hear your thoughts!

  • I love the simplicity of it. It is elegant, without taking the focus away from the pretty outdoor setting. I am a fan of simple ceremony decor. Everyone's attention will be directed at you and your FI anyway, so the decor doesn't need to be over the top.

  • If it's outdoor I would guess they would want real flowers? I love your sash ideas though.

  • I think fake flower would be fine on the aisle runner. I think it depends on you - some people dont like the look of fake flowers.
Love the sashes on the chairs.
I think your ceremony space is beautiful on its own and doesnt need to much added it it. What you have in mind sounds perfect.

  • I think the real flowers would be better for an outside wedding- fake ones will get scattered and will just end up being litter.  Love the sashes and brooches!
