I felt like this was a busy wedding planning week for me and I was wondering if anyone else got some checks this week?

I-

Got my save the dates on thursday and they are WONDERFUL!

Blocked hotel rooms

Ordered my Wedding Favors (did go with the American Cancer Society Idea)

Put all my guest list in my spreadsheet with their addresses

Brought tons of thank you notes for wedding presents (got them super cheap could not resist)

What did everyone else get done?

We are finishing organizing the guest list this weekend

We're getting our save the dates on Tuesday!  Super exciting!

Congratulations on your checks! I got absolutely nothing done this week, except for actively searching for ceremony musicians.

This week:

Sent in DJ contract & deposit
Sent in Cake contract & deposit
Confirmed some information with the bakery & the reception hall (which has cleared a lot of anxiety)

And while not a check, but I did finally hear back from the two photographers I've been waiting on information from (1st one took almost a month to send me the information; 2nd one finally informed me on where is in the process of writing up a contract after a lot of waiting and finally a prod).

This week I met with a florist, made an appointment with another florist and today I bought my wedding shoes! Tomorrow I'm going to the church I'm considering so hopefully this week I'll be able to set up a time to meet with the preacher and finally be one step closer to actually having somewhere to get married lol.

I'm in the process of creating our day of timeline, nailing down the final guest list, finding a save the date card that we really love, and also narrowing down the invitations.

I have my DJ for sure. I have possible photographers, baker, and officant. I do not know what the groomsmen are getting yet. But my girls are getting hummingbird hair combs to wear in their hair for the wedding and probably something geared toward their personalities. My little girls are getting polka dot flower hair clips with a hummingbird in the center. I do not know what else to get them.

We called a few DJs and made an appointment with one. I also contacted on-site hair & make-up artists and am thinking of booking them this week.

No big checks here... Will hopefully be getting back into planning mode next month...

Hopefully we'll get the hotel block done tomorrow, I emailed the sales coordinator at the hotel and asked if she could go lower with our rate because we noticed that if you had a AAA card- the rate would be better than the block rate we were quoted. Hope to hear from her tomorrow :-)

I just began bm dress shopping this weekend. I feel like I need to get that done so I'll know exactly what shade of purple to match everything with! I want to start getting all the guests and their addresses organized as well... hopefully this weekend...

I purchased envelopes for our STDs and started working on those & I went to a bridal place in the city & found our reception decor & got a quote!

Yikes! After reading all of these...I feel super lazy! LOL

We've booked our venue for reception/ceremony, roughed out a guest list, got my dress, and now I'm looking at wedding shoes (haha, I can never say no to a chance to look at shoes!).

I think next on the list will be to get a photographer!

We've also discussed our favors; we're going to do wine glasses since we're at a vineyard and I think we're going to etch them ourselves...we'll see how that goes!

In the last 2 weeks, we've met with a photographer, just need to get my fiance to look at the list of shots we want.  Booked our DJ.  Got our 2nd hotel room block.  Got my hair highlighted and engagement pics are scheduled for Friday, weather permitting.  Really anxious to get save the dates out, but still don't have addresses from my future MIL for the 160 people in their family. 

Also, got my fiance's cousin to agree to be our officiant and sent in the check for the marriage assessment we need to do before we begin our counseling.
