For the past few months I have been asking FI to call the priest at his family church, where we are getting married, to get more info on any required marriage prep as well as ceremony restrictions. He met with the priest right after we got engaged, to book our date, and swears he was told that we didn't have to do any marriage prep, but hasn't called since. Well, FI got a phone call from the church yesterday asking us to call to discuss our wedding. He asked that I call them back. Today I called the church, and am I glad I did. Somehow they had no record of us planning to get married there! The woman asked me if we had completed our marriage prep classes. When I told her we hadn't, she had me talk to the priest. We now have a meeting with him next week. I am so worried that we are going to have problems now getting married in the church.
