Favorite cocktail

So I'm pretty obsessed with this one cocktail right now.  I've listed the recipe below.  I know a bunch of you are doing a signature cocktail, so maybe you need some inspiration.  Let's all share our favorite cocktail and recipe if you have one.

Vodka Fizz

Juice of 1 lemon
2 oz vodka
Egg white from 1 egg
1.5 oz St Germain
tsp simple syrup

Dry shake.  Add ice and 1 oz of seltzer.  Shake again.  Strain into a chilled martini glass.

I know the egg white makes it sound gross, but I promise it tastes like an amazing lemon meringue pie :)

Re: Favorite cocktail

  • we are experimenting with homemade limoncello. If it turns out, I'll post the recipe.

Our current favorite is a Chuck Norris (the wimpy version)
Using a drop shot glass, fill the shot with Cherry Dr McGillicuddy's and fill the outer part with Liquid Ice energy drink.
  • Im just doing a sangria and apple martini !

  • Dirty Shirley. It's like being a kid and an adult at the same time.

  • PS, Mel, vodka fizz sounds amazeballs.

  • The ones I've had were always made with vodka, Mel. Bourbon was good?? I'll have to try that!

  • Oh, and if you meant in general and not what alcohol, it's 1-2 oz vodka, 5-6 oz Sprite, and 1 dash grenadine syrup, but I'm guessing you got that since you said you made one :)

</div><div>I made something called a "Lady Shirley".  It was 1 oz of lemon juice, 1 oz of grenadine, 2 oz of bourbon, and club soda.  It was super good, but not actually that much like a shirley temple like it was suppose to be.

<div>Uhm, that sounds reallllly good, too. I am a huge fan of lemon juice.  I would probably drink it if I wasn't such a teeth freak, so needless to say I love it in drinks. I was on the hunt for an alcoholic drink I would actually enjoy and didn't require the bar to have any really "special" ingredients (my previous favorite was Malibu and pineapple juice and none of the "manly" places we went would have pineapple juice), so I was very happy to find the Dirty Shirley. I just never understood drinking something that tasted gross. </div>

I don't have a favorite cocktail. I drink wine or beer mostly. If I do a cocktail thing I go simple and drink amaretto cranberry or amaretto sour.
