Facebook question

Similiar to jweiss' dilemma the other week...I received a PM from some random girl saying she likes my wedding pics and asking who my photog was. How can she see my pics?! (my photog does not have them online, btw) I just double checked, and all of my albums are set to "friends only." My profile is the same. No one tagged me in pro pics- I created the 2 albums myself. Any idea how this could happen? I am a little creeped out.I don't know if I should send a message back or not. I can't click on her name, and there's no profile pic. I heard if you send a message to someone, they can see a limited version of your profile for a certain amt. of time. Is this correct? Thanks for any insight...

If she is friends with someone that commented on them, she can see them, right?

I didn't think so, but maybe....then what's the use of settings for albums then, if "friends only" doesn't work? Stupid FB.

KR- I'm pretty sure that's true. Even if she isn't your friend, if a friend of yours comments on them and is friends with her, she can see them. It does make you wonder what the point is of making albums private or friends only, etc.

I echo PP.  I can say that you can change your limited settings to show a limited profile if you msg. the person back.

Hmm...ok, I think I'll message her back and try to do a limited profile. You'd think she would have enough sense to maybe explain how she saw them, or who she is. At least that's what I'd do!

I would definitely ask how she saw them when you message her back. :)  I actually didn't think people could see pics -even if a friend commented on it, when it's set to 'friends only'.

This doesn't really answer Kim's question, but there is some good tips in this article. http://www.allfacebook.com/2009/02/facebook-privacy/
