Until the shower from hell is over... Two days ago I woke up to texts from FSIL's FI asking what time we were getting to the restaurant to set up. He wanted to know if he should come and help too. I responded that it's a restaurant- they know how to set their own tables... I have centerpieces and favors that I'll put out when I get there a half hour before the shower. He can just come with his bride later.
I just got a phone call from my FMIL. Apparently, she's insisting the MOH create an itinerary. She's can't comprehend that the game I've planned isn't the type of game where everybody needs to stop and do it all at the same time. I have a board of pics of the bride and there will be score cards for each other guests at each table. They need to guess the brides age. This can be done at any time and they just have to give me back the score cards when they're done. This apparently makes no sense to FMIL who wants to devote a specific half hour to my game alone on the itinerary... Alright folks, this is not a state dinner, it's a shower. Let's all relax.
I just LOVE how nobody cared about doing anything for this shower until the last week... I was the only one who did anything for it, but now they're all flipping out trying to make it look like they did stuff... 7 days...
