Wedding Gift for Groom

I know we have plenty of time to think about this, but myfiance already has a a nice watch and I bought him some Tiffany monogrammed cuff-links for his last birthday. Those two seem to be traditional wedding gifts to give the groom. Any other ideas for the wedding gift to grooms??

I'm really thinking about doing a boudoir shoot and giving him a book of the pictures.  It's not traditional, but I like the idea.

I was tossing this idea around back and fourth... Not 100 % sold on the idea yet because I don't want spend tons of money on pictures that he may only look at once or twice... If not I may surprise him watch or shoes... I will have to figure out something...

His wedding gift to me was making our guest room into a craft room for me, still in the works :-)

He'd be ecstatic if I made a gigantic bowl of my mom's tarragon chicken salad for him as a wedding present, lol. Haven't really thought about it yet.

I was thinking about getting his band engraved with "5/18/13 Always and Forever" (that's our first dance song).

I really want to get him a nice watch, but it all depends on the funds from here to there lol. I also considered the photoshoot but I dont know how comfortable I feel with that =/

Honestly don't think we're doing gifts. Maybe a card the day of. His birthday is 4 days before our wedding so yeah no gifts the day of.

My fiance loves single malt scotch, so I am getting my fiance his own barrel of single malt scotch from a distillary in Scotland.  They put his name on it (like they brand the barrell) and we can go over there in a few years (probably on an anniversary) to see it bottled.  If we can't make it over there to see it bottled, they will still bottle it and send it to us.  Each barrell makes dozens of bottles, so then we will have it forever.  Its not cheap, but I think he is going to be floored.

Mimmer, that is awesome...where did you find that idea/can you post or PM more detalis?  I don't think I want to do this as a wedding present per say, but me and FI drink scotch and I think at some point that would be a great present.

My FI just asked me about this today. I had thought we would just be doing something small, but he wants us to do something big. I'm leaning towards an autographed jersey or some piece of sports memorabilia, but I'll just have to see what I come across.

I've thought about doing the boudoir shoot but I haven't decided yet on that. I work part time for a fancy dept store that has higher end watches. I'm considering getting him one of those with some engraving done.

I guess I didn't even think of getting the groom a gift.  His birthday is 6 days before the wedding, and he's already a little ticked off about them being so close.  Maybe I should do something special.  I really like the scotch idea - he's definitely a fan of a fine scotch.

I think I'm going to write him a nice hand written note and get his band engraved probably with "The Perfect Fit 5/18/13".

As for the boudoir shots, my best friend/MOH used to work at Glamour Shots and has photography and make up experience so I was thinking about seeing what she could pull off for me so I won't be spending a ton

Same here no gifts.. on our 1 year to go we wrote a letter to each other to read the day off.. so that is our gift!

I have also thought about the pics but have to clue where to even look into getting it done at. We haven't really discussed it though so I dont know if he even wants to.
