May 2013 Weddings

Tomorrow is D-Day!

Well, girls, I made it.  Tomorrow is FSIL's wedding and then it's OVER!  The wedding technically started last night with the mehendi (henna) party and today was a very long ceremony with the Hindu priest and immediate family members.  I'm not there yet, as I couldn't take off from work, but I'll be arriving late  tonight.

FI went yesterday morning and I literally haven't been able to really speak with him because FSIL has everyone running around in circles.  I talked to him for about 2 minutes today and as we were hanging up, I could hear her screaming at someone in the background.  She's such a peach.

FI checks into our hotel room tonight (he stayed with his parents last night) so I just bought a bottle of wine to bring for the room- we're gonna need it.

The ceremony starts at 4 pm tomorrow but for some reason I've been told I have to be dressed and ready and at the venue by 11:30.  Can someone please explain why I have to hurry up and wait?

Oh and she's already trying to get pregnant- I get to go from dealing with bridezilla to pregozilla

  • I went to one Indian wedding and we had to be ready early because there's some sort of tradition where everyone leads the groom to the ceremony.  It was actually really fun!  The family had rented a truck and put a huge speaker in it and the groom rode behind the truck in a convertible and we all danced down the street with him to the ceremony location.  The bridesmaids were already at the ceremony door when we got there then joined in and danced too.

But I hope you have a little fun! lol Def let us know how it goes!
