Show me your plans for programs & menu's

Lately I find myself feeling uninspired by everything I've seen for programs and menus. If you have something fun and/or unique, please share!

  • This will be for our program and then another on at the reception for the menus. We decided not to waste the paper and printing costs on somethig people (atleast in our area) just throw away.

    It's a chalkboard with the wedding party etc written on it. Ours will be a little cleaner and easier to read than the example, but you get the general idea!

  • That chalkboard idea is cute and I definitely agree with the throw away part. That's why I want to do something unique so that maybe they wont be thrown away. I came across these two ideas on Martha Stewart Weddings. What do you think?

    Option 1: get with the Program
    Inside the booklet are cute activities to keep guests busy while waiting for the ceremony to start, like a crossword with facts about the couple, etc.





    Option 2: Program Pouch
    A small bag of some kind with a (standard) program inside as well as something unique that the guests (like a favor) will be able to take home and enjoy. I like the idea of maybe a small recipe book of recipes that the couple enjoys making. . .

  • LOL stalk away!! I just pinned a cootie catcher template that a Martha Stewart Living wedding used for conversation starteres at the bar. I am going to make a bunch and put them on the tables for icebreakers, but you can also set them us as menus!

    Your program ideas are really cute and unique, so all you have to do is pick the one that reflect your and FI style the best :)

  • I'm in between two. I'm getting them from Etsy. I have this one:

    It matches this STD and Invite



    OR this one. This seller doesn't make the programs and menu's but she gives you the monogram of your name to make your own with the same concept. So I dnt have a pic of the program or menu, but you get the idea. I'm in the middle of messaging her to see if she could possibly do one. FI and I like these cause they're our colors.

  • I'm ordering the invitations, programs, and menus all through the same company- so they will go together! Something like this- but different colors/fonts maybe...


  • I'm not doing programs, but I'm making menus.  They're on a pink iridescent paper.  I stenciled on a very light gray flower and put pearls in the corner.  I'll print on top of this, but here's my prototype:


    Right now I have all the paper cut with the stenciling done.  When we finalize the menu, I will print them and add the pearls.
    My seating charts and table numbers are all on the same paper.  I made them so that I could make everything match well.

  • We haven't designed them yet, but I am planning on putting handkerchiefs either in little glassine envelopes with our program printed on the front or printing the program on a "belly band" style paper around the hankies. This will take care of the "tears of joy" packets that I originally wanted and our programs as well. :)
