What DIY projects are you ladies planning on doing? My list consists of my brooch bouquet, escort cards, baskets for the bubbles and ceremony programs, decorating my shoes, invitations, bracelets for the bridal party, jars for the candy buffet and possibly decorating the cake server and candy scoops if I can find the tutorial I want.

I did all my flowers (check), my centerpieces(mostly check), my invites(bought), flower girl basket(in the works), ring bearer pillow(havent started), BP gifts (girls started), decorating cake servers(not even looked for plain ones), toasting glasses (bought), Hairpiece (bought), Signature cocktails-margaritas(looking forward to doing a test run soon), favors (started kid's favors, waiting for adults), playlist for the wedding(work in progress), STD's (havent really planned yet, gonna wait for epics).  I think thats it, always looking for some new way to save money though

So far the only DIY projects I'm doing are invites, STDs, and table numbers. Thinking of others.

I'm not very crafty.  I don't think I'm doing anything DIY.

Lets see so far, I am doing my centerpieces, flowers, invites, escort cards which I found such a cute and wicked cheap idea on pinterest . Ill do the FG and RB things. Any signs. Hoping to do some of the decorations too.

Not very crafty either but centerpieces materials are bought wil put those all together couple days before the big day. As time goes on and I am on pintrest I sm sure I will find more things.

 i'm going to be the invites and STD's (mostly e-STDs i think).  Also the decorations, although I'm not sure if this counts.  My company imports crafts from all over the world, and we had a shipment of lanterns that came in with enough minor compliance issues(Glazes, slightly cracked bottoms that you can't see really ) that we couldn't send a bunch out.  I took a whole bunch of white ones in the small size, and there is a lantern cup that is pretty too.  I think I'll also be taking some of the yellow, and we have a navy color also that goes well with the yellow.  Or i'll just stick to white...any opinions?  I'm probably having yellow and navy be my wedding colors.  

So anyway, i'm going to use the big ones as down the isle/around the room/around the pool where the cocktail hour will be and the little ones and the cups as center pieces, possibly with some small flower's or pettles on the table too.   The venue is pretty rustic/woody and I think they'll look great.

lalans: uuuuhhh! Love those laterns!  I think the color vs. white issue depends on how much color you are using elsewhere.  If you are using a lot of yellow and navy in other ways, go with the white, but if there isn't a lot of color in other places, use the colored laterns.

Growing my boquet (I think I've decided to buy clutch purses for my BM instead of flowers)
Growing live centerpieces
Menu Display
Printed Seating Chart (no escort cards)
Pie Dispaly Table
Photo Booth (my ez up, props and camera for a friend to manage)
Black and white photos of numbers for table numbers
Photo dispaly- instead of doing a slide show I am printing up photos of both of us from each year (we were born 2 days apart and will both be 25 when we get married)
Instead of programs- doing a printed or chalk board one for everyone to read as they walk up
STD and Invites will be designed online by me
Card box
Game table for those who want something quiet to do
Might do a wedding mad lib too..

So far I have only done my wish tags, I am borrowing centerpieces from someone who got married 2 years ago so those are already done.

I am doing bathroom baskets, place cards, gift bags for the bridal party and I know there's more but I am having a huge brain freeze right now.

Turtlelove, you are growing your own flowers! Cool!!  What kinds? Are they outdoors or inside?  When do you have to start them?  Are the live centerpeices for takeaway by guests?

Thanks for the lantern color input I'll probably just end up with the white ones because my skill level at matching colors and making things pretty is fairly low.  I think I'll end up haivng some more talented friends help with set up...then they get lanterns as presents or something

lalans- I am growing calla lillies because they are my favorite between my mother and I we have a LOT of plants. We will wake them up in early february I think to get blooms this time of year. Peope will be welcome to take the centerpieces, I havent decided what they will be but we will get annuals next spring so there is lots of color!
Were getting married on a golf course, with the reception in a tent, so i want all the linnens to be white with the white tent and then pops of color  It wasnt my first venue choice but I m actuualy really liking it now!
