From what FI tells me, the bulk is already saved up. He has been saving for quite a while and he said about a month ago "well thats it, our wedding is covered" (he of course just meant the reception and ceremony part). It cracks me up though because not one single deposit has been made LOL. The balance of whatver is left will be paid off in Jan/Feb 2013 with my tax return, as long as I dont have another year where I need to buy a car, which I have to do this year.

Right now we just have deposits paid too, but we have paid a little more money toward our photographer. We have a good chunk of it already saved up, but will for sure continue to save so I hope we'll be able to pay off everything by March or April next year.

I'd like pay everything off slowly over the next year.  The venue can't be paid off until just before the wedding because you won't know how many people until then.  Considering the venue will be our biggest chunk of money... I guess we won't be paid off until the wedding!

We can't pay off our venue until the day before the ceremony so looks like that will be when we're paid off :)

ASAP I plan on paying everything off right after Christmas with the exception of the reception. That will be paid within a few days of the wedding.

The money for a lot of the stuff is sitting in a savings account. All our deposits are in, so it's just waiting until stuff is due. I could always just send it in, but I guess I'm paranoid that if the place/person goes out of business in the next year, they'll be taking the money with them and make it harder to pay a replacement. I'm still shuttling money in to the account though to make sure we'll have unexpected stuff covered. If there's money left over, we'll have it for the future!
