When should tuxes be chosen? Is it too early?

I think FI is going in November when we go bridesmaid dress shopping. It's not to early  some of the ladies already have their tuxes picked out.

We went to look around and they said to start fittings in December.

I went with FI  last week so he could get measured for a tux for a  wedding we're both in in October, and we looked at the store's choices then.  I think we're going to go with the option of everyone buyin a suit... it's only $75 more than renting a tux and they actually get to keep the suit! We're thinking of paying the difference as their gift.  We need to finalize our choices by the end of the year because the prices will be going up but if you're renting I don't think you need to go soon, I definitely wouldn't stress over it.

We went in November 2011. We got a deal at men's wear house. So we were way ahead of the game. I think before January should be fine.

I would check with the place you are intending to rent from as they all might have different time frames.

FI and I went this last Saturday and we were early. FI got measured however the groomsmen don't have to get their measurements until a month before the wedding.

We are planning to decide sometime before the end of the year. Men's Wearhouse has a 40 off promotion if the guys place their deposit by dec. 31st.
