My mother's cousin, whom we're not as close with for reasons you'll soon see, has been dating a woman for about 3 years now. We've met her several times, but no one knows her last name. I had asked my mother to get all of the family's information gathered. My mother likes to get things done quickly, so she emailed this cousin and asked what his girl friend's last name is.
Last night he emailed her back saying that there was no need to be so formal and just to let him know the date and they will tell us if they can come or not. He didn't include his girl friend's last name. Ummmm first of all, he already knows the wedding date. Second of all, I am going to send invitations and save the dates to everyone- I'm not sending emails!
So my mom responded by saying that I was going to mail invitations because weddings are formal. If he didn't want to be invited, he could just tell us (okay, maybe a little extreme, but she was annoyed).
Today he emailed back by saying that nobody was out to get her- he simply didn't want her to waste paper by sending invitations to family members... Ummm just give me your girl friend's damn last name, man!
