Major Set Back!

So the day that I lost my health insurance (yesterday), I ended up having my appendix out. I will be paying out of pocket for that with our second down payment for the wedding venue that is due next week. I'm hoping that I can call our venue on Monday and explain the situation and that they will be understanding. If not, I will be coming up with a back up plan.

That stinks!!! Have you thought about maybe getting care credit not sure if your doctor takes it but its worth a shot... I have it for emergencies so I don't have to drain my extra money...

If you had the surgery the same day your coverage ended the surgery itself should be covered right?

My insurance ended at noon on November 1st, my surgery was at 7pm on November 1st.

Can you sign up for COBRA coverage? At least at my job if you do the forms within a few months of your end date they will cover everything from your end date forward.

What horrible luck! When I had mine out, the price before insurance was scary. Ugh, I hope you can somehow find a way around it. Hope you are recovering well- was a slow process for me.
