Im looking at maybe getting a tea length... But not sure.

It's not too early! Lots of girls on this board have theirs already. Some dresses take 8 months to come in, and then you may need alterations.

Nope. Definitely not too early. When I went shopping, I was told it can take up to 8 months for a dress to come in, plus allow up to 3 months for alterations.

I agree with PP. They said mine could take up to 9 months! Granted it only took 3, lol, but I didn't want to risk it. And I need a lot of alterations from a weight loss. Go have fun with it!

Definitely go now. Better to have it early than get it too late. I'm getting married May 10, and I got my dress last Friday, and they told me it would be in October 26, but I'm totally prepared for it to take longer. My first fitting is in March, so two months for alterations.

I agree with the ladies. Keep in mind that what you have in your mind is not necessarily what you will end up with and that may affect other decisions you will be making regarding your wedding. I originally thought I wanted a tea length dress. It wasn't until I started trying on dresses that I quickly realized that I wanted something else.

I am also getting married May 11th, I bought my dress already and it should be in around the end of September. Definitely not too early to start looking around. Some dresses take months and other only take a few weeks, so definitely agree with PP about having it sooner than later.

A lot of dresses can take 6-8 months to come in. You can/should definitely start looking now.

This too.! I thought I wanted a specific big pretty ball gown. And it was on sale. It was fate. I went in the store and put it on, and it was not what I wanted. Lol. My FSIL said I looked like a bed spread. Lol. Not it. I ended up going with a mermaid that is so gorgeous and perfect.

I just order mine about 2 weeks ago..said it wont be in til late december early jan..so I think now will be a good time !

I originally wanted a tea lenght but decided on a fit and flare one shoulder. It is scheduled to be in middle of October and I bought it in June. Never too early to start.
