So between me working nights both 12 hour and 8 hour shifts and my fiancé working days with a scattered schedule 7 days a week we have been seriously neglecting wedding plans. We can't believe how quick the four month mark is approaching. However, yesterday we made some major checks! We did our cake sampling, watched our dj's demos and picked our top two, and had our food sampling where we picked all our linens as well. Yay! My next challenge is to find a ceremony officiant. I do need one bit advice though ladies. I'm back and forth on linens colors. So I want our flowers to be very simple elegant arrangement with mostly white and off whites and maybe a little purple. I then chose to alternate each settings napkin with either the dark purple or light purple napkin. I originally thought a nice light gold charger with each but the one that they had would be far too Moroccan looking with all of the purples so I switched to silver. The issue is the tablecloth. The options are white or a light ivory damask pattern. I chose the white first, but switched because I was thinking that since my dress is off white and flowers are to be a mix of white and ivory so it's not to bold with pure white I should do the same with the linens?. Do you think this choice of pattern with clash with the different purples? Will it look stupid with different purples? I originally wanted light purple dresses for my BMs but they were all too pale so we switched to dark. But since it is a may wedding I figured I would introduce any other lighter colors I could to break it up a little and coordinate with their white, ivory and light purple flowers. Thoughts?
