So what's next on your checklist?

For me, I have some big ones....
- Secure DJ
- Get quote on my cake
- Find a hair stylist / makeup artist
- Find a florist
- Schedule tasting at the venue to finalize the menu.


Im hoping to get the four first big ones done this weekend at the bridal show I have coming up Sunday. I really prefer to deal with a vendor face to face versus by email or phone.

I also have to nail down the florist contract and ceremony musician (hopefully this weekend!) and start looking at cakes.

Very pretty. I wish we had more venues like this in Northeast Florida. I totally would have preferred this type of venue to the country club.

For those of you that need to do hotel blocks...I used this website hotelguides.com that let hotels around your wedding area getinto kind of a bidding war for your business. Like really nice hotels you can get cheap because they want your party yo go there. It was extremely easy for me to do my hotel blocks by using this website. I also put that it was for a wedding so nicer hotels than normal were bidding for me. Just thought I would let you know :-)

-Meet with florist to figure out bouquets/centerpieces (tomorrow)
-Decide on and book honeymoon-FI's taking charge on this one
-Figure out how much I want to DIY, if anything
-Do engagement "homework" that our rabbi assigned us

I'm not going to worry about things like invitations, hair/makeup, transportation, etc. until about 6 months out.

Oh, goodness - I feel like I've got a lot done, and then I look at my checklist!

- Shop for wedding dresses (this weekend)
- Sign our photography contract (next week)

We may book our limo sooner, but we definitely have to wait on shuttles for guests to/from the hotel because we have no idea how many of our guests will be staying there yet! I'm guessing that mini buses and school buses are less in demand for prom season?
