What design are you thinking for your invites?

As of now the only thing we have set in stone is that we are doing pocket folds  invitations.

We're going with playing cards because FI is a HUGE Texas Hold'em player/fan plus it's still a nod to Vegas. We were doing boarding passes but nixed them altogether.

Not sure...I have to meet with the venue to see what they offer included in our package and if its something we like. If not then i'll DIY and have them credit the difference like i've done with almost every other decoration/detail they provide lol. I originally was leaning towards pocket folds but I think I like the stacked look with some sort of ribbon or belly band holding it together. Not sure lets see..

Mine will be a pocket sleeve like this from Soho Paper.  The front will have the invite (which I am creating and using Vistaprint to print) mounted and the back will have a pocket for all the inserts (also printed using Vistaprint). I bought the pockets and backing papers from a local merchant who sells soho paper.  




This is more or less what the actual invite will look like. . .

We are getting married under an old oak tree so I want to do something like this. I want to see if we can use a picture of the actual tree some how.

Got these ones off Vistaprint, we have changed the start time lol!

I love these except for I would change the tree to match the ones on my save the date and make the background on the right side blue with silver writing.

Ours are gonna be fun. FI is very funny and we are a fun couple, so FI didn't want elegant looking stationary because it wouldn't represent us. These are our invites. Except ours are gonna be red.

I honestly have no idea. I'm having hard time picking our save the date ones. Who knows what well do for invites smh at least Fi should be home by them to help me.

These are ours, although we're making a lot of changes to them.  I should have them in my hands about a month or so from now, so I'm planning on posting pics then!

I keep changing my mind! Lol. I found DIY invites that I loved when we first got engaged, but they don't work with anything else we've decided on. Lol. I want pocketfolds, he wants to incorporate our E pics somehow. He wants super cheap, I want cost effective, yet still nice. Needless to say, I have no clue what we are doing yet.

We're working on a few designs, but FI has done some initial testing with things. He's made the template, but I've decided I want to do our logo as a custom stamp and then add heat embossing to really help it shine. All of this would be mounted to a black pocketfold, and then the inserts off to the side would all use the coral damask pattern along the sides or top to tie them together.

Same design as out STDs. Here are the STDs (slightly censored. Obviously there won't be neon purple bars on our actual STDs).

We're going to DYI them. This is the mock up we had made a while back. DF is in the process of creating the actual look of the invitation and inserts on photoshop. I'm excited for that to be completed.





The only difference is that the white paper will be replaced by ivory paper and the moose punch out will be placed on the reception card.

We've ordered ours already (I realized after posting about the timeline yesterday that we had ordered them and the start time was already choosen lol ) off Vistaprint. It's basic.

I am diying ours I already made the pocket folds. I used this tutorial http://www.chicaandjo.com/2009/07/23/handmade-wedding-invitations/ it's the second one. I made the pocket fold with dark orange paper and a light green grosgrain ribbon. the paper that I am using for the part that has the invitation written on it will be light green and all the insert cards will be light green as well. and by the way it's September not July
