Bridal Party Question

Last night we finalized our BP and it got me thinking about what my responsibilities are as far as helping BMs out financially. I put my Sister/MOH in charge of choosing the BM dresses; she knows exactly my taste and would definitely stay within a reasonable price range. Okay, so I guess my question is, what are you taking care of financially for your BP? I have 9 BMs including MOH and am just trying to wrap my head around all of this.

Re: Bridal Party Question

  • I'm buying their jewelry for the wedding, not as a wedding gift. And I'm buying each of them flip flops to wear in the wedding.  I asked each girl individually and privately about what they were willing to spend on a BM dress. When they gave  me numbers, I started looking and gave them options about dresses (they don't all have to wear the same dress). Other than that, I told them upfront that I can't afford to pay for their hair and nails-they don't have to get those things done if they don't want to.

  • A gift and their jewlery.
I have picked out very inexspensive dresses and we are all helping eachother do hair and makeup. Shoes will be up to them as well.

  • Their BM's gifts which consist of probably an initialed makeup bag, jewlery to wear for the wedding and their flip flops I bought a few months ago. I am letting my BM's pick their own dresses so they can spend as little or as much as they want

  • We haven't officially went shopping just yet but we the dresses I have picked out are reasonable priced. I am going to buy their jewelry and I will also be paying for their hair and makeup that's if they want it. It wont be a part of their gift I am not sure what I am going to do for that.

  • I haven't really thought about whether or not I will buy their jewelry. They're paying for their own hair & makeup if they want it done. I'm not requiring it.

  • Definitely their jewelry... probably their hair and makeup too...

  • I plan on for sure buying my BMs lunch, breakfast something like that day of. They're willing to pay for their own hair, a couple have said they want to do professional makeup too. Also I'm not requiring a specific dress, so that's their own deal as far as how much they want to spend on a dress.

  • I haven't thought about jewelry yet. I am thinking about paying for their hair & make-up and letting them wear whatever shoes they want in a certain color.

  • I am buying jewelry for mine but not their dresses. My MOH and I picked out a few options of cute dresses that were cheap, so we are going with that.

  • Aside from their gift, I am going to buy their jewelry (probably just bracelet and necklace). I'm not requiring them to wear the same shoes, just asking them to be silver, and they also don't have to get their hair done (they are getting their make up done for free by my MOH), but if they chose to, it's pretty cheap since a friend who works at a salon is doing it for them.

  • I have one attendent, my MOH. She's a very simple person. I've offered to pay for her dress, and depending on how things are going in their life I may or may not need to. Either way, I don't care. She's going to go out and find something in either dusty rose or dusty blue.

I'm also paying for hair, nails, jewelry, and shoes. All are optional, if she wants to or not. I know something things can go haywire in both our lives and she may not be able to spend the day of the wedding getting hair/nails done. That's fine with me.

We're also paying for FMIL, Flower Girl, and FSIL, if she wants to come along to get hair/nails done.
