Need Some Ideas...

I am needing some crafty ideas to decorate the arbor at our venue. I discussed using flowers with the florist and it was a little pricey. I thought about making pomander balls to hang around that gazebo but I felt like it may be too many because I will also have about 6 lining the aisle.

  • I think the pomanders will be perfect to hang. Are you haning them on the chairs ? like this
    Pomanders
If so maybe do every other chair leading up to the gazebo so it dosent look like so much. HTH

  • I was thinking about hanging them on shepherds hooks there will be 3 on each side. I made fabric one for the aisle. I was thinking about making some out of tissue paper for the arch or do you think I should I stick with the fabric pomanders?

  • That is a beautiful spot! What are your colors, theme/feel, and ceremony time?

  • Maybe use a cheap "filler" like Spanish moss or tulle along with flowers? Beautiful spot!

  • Tissue paper pomanders.
something like this ? If you already have made some with fabric then I would make the rest of them that way too. do you have a pic you could post of them ?

  • If you plan on making more pommanders I'd stick with the fabric. What about just using some tulle.

  • I'm not sure about putting anything on the gazebo, it's already cute and homey as it is and the scenery is already wonderful- don't want anything to take away from you guys :-) Plus if you guys are having a BP, having them stand up there would block most of the decor on the gazebo anyway, you know?

I agree with having fabric pomanders along the aisle, that'd be fun and festive :-)

  • I agree very beautiful with the background that is already there!

  • I honestly probably wouldn't do anything!  Is this in Hawaii?  You were doing a DW, right?

Super long story but I will make it short... FI ended up getting laid off (which we had no clue that was going to happen.) after much consideration and doing 2 budgets for both places we decided we would just stay here in Nashville. FI is also concerned that when he does find a job if he will be able to take 2 weeks off for us to get married. So in the end we opted to go back to square one which is here in Nashville.
