DOC or partial planner worth it for a small wedding?

Hi girls! Do you think a day of coordinator or partial planning is worth it for a small wedding? Only about 35-45 guests and our bridal party is very small, 1 MOH for me and 1 groosman and BM for my fiance. What do you think?

If you can afford it, then I'd say go for it.  I don't think it matters how big the wedding is- if you don't want to be hassled with the details on the day of, then maybe a day of coordinator is for you.

My venue provides a DOC but I was told by a lot of people to do it no matter how small the wedding if you can afford it.

It makes them the go to person for issues and not you or a family member :)

I totally agree with PP.  If I wasn't getting a DOC through my venue/caterer then I'd be hiring one.

We are getting one through our venue. But I also have a friend who offered to help out since she is currently studying event planning.

We're having a small wedding too and we hired a DOC. I would definitely recommend hiring one because she has helped us so much already. I know that she will make me anxiety free on the wedding day.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say no.

If you have a lot of the details worked out well in advance and everyone's on board, I really don't think it'd be uber necessary. BUT- I will say, only you can be the judge of this and if you have the money and/or your venue doesn't provide an event coordinator or DOC, then do it.

I am hiring a DOC. I dont want to stress or worry about details or thing that could go wrong. I agree with PP with getting one and not getting one... It's your call in the end.

Like a previous poster mentioned, if you can afford one in your budget, do it! It makes all the set up and decorating perfect to your liking!
If you dont have much  decor or don't particularly care if the decor and set up isn't perfect, then you could probably just have a close friend or your MOH/BM set up for you quickly. But it's pretty worth it to pay someone else to do it :]
