We tried a caterer today that works with the hall where we are getting married. The food was bland and the potatoes were instant. We tried baked chicken and stuff peppers. My fi got to see the hall for the first time. He liked it. I think I want to ask for a tasting so I can get an idea of what the food will taste like when not cooked for a big crowed

Instant potatoes?!?! yuck!!! That sucks that the food was bland. Does your venue have any other caterers you can try?

I think instant mashed potatoes should be outlawed, especially when it's really not difficult to make the real thing lol. That sucks the food was bad :-(

I can bring a different caterer in. I think I want to ask if she will do a tasting for us when she isn't cooking for a whole group of older people at the American legion.
