Where to sleep the night before?

So FI and I had a conversation last night about where we will each stay the night before our wedding. He moved in a year ago and we share a house together.

He doesn't see a big deal with staying in the same bed even and seeing each other that morning. Me on the other hand, I don't want to see him that day until our "first look" pics with the photographer. You know, create a little anticipation.

He doesn't want either of us to sleep on someone's couch the night before but has claimed he would sleep in our guest room and leave early the next morning.  Unless his best man & the guy's wife get a hotel room the night before, he lives almost an hour away. I feel bad and don't want to displace him (or me) but don't know what to do.

Am I being too crazy here? Thoughts?

If it's what you really want, thne  just have him sleep in your guest room. Seems like the least stressful solution.

Yeah, go with whatever's less stressful for both of you.  The guest room doesn't seem like a big deal.  My fiance's parents want him to stay with them but I don't know if he will or not.  Depending on whether or not I sublease my apartment for the summer, I'll either be there or at my parents' house the night before.  It's not a huge issue where people stay.

I agree..dont make a big fuss over it. Sleeping in the guest room will be fine.

Yeah I agree with the others on picking the least stressful choice. FI and I haven't even talked about that yet, lol! We live together too.

I agree with everyone. He can set an alarm and get up before you see him. FI and I live together and I plan on staying at my moms after the rehearsal.

 FI and I live together too. We figured we are going to stay together the night before and go to breakfast the next morning. We just want to spend a little time together before everything gets crazy.

Same for us! It will be hard enough for me to sleep the night before and it would only be worse if he wasn't with me. I already booked a hotel room because we are getting married 3 hours away from where we live.

I live with FI too.  I'm REALLY hoping I get a new job very soon (interview today, wish me luck!) which would probably mean we have to move.  Our current place is 30/40 min from the venue, but if we moved it would be farther....like 1 or 2 hours probably depending on where I get a job/where we move.  So if everything goes well I will prob get myself a hotel room in our block of rooms and get ready there so I don't have to get up as early.  I'd also prob have a "girls night" type thing with some friends sharing the room with me.

I wish I had this problem lol. He'll be at his moms and I'll be at my dads. We're actually not going to be living with each other until after the wedding lol I feel like such a dork but I'm hoping the slow transition will make it easier on my dad. I also think the guest bedroom is more than fine.

We're having a wedding a couple hours from home.  We've decided that we'll stay at a hotel near the venue the night before together.  Neither one of us are into the whole "not seeing each other before the wedding" thing.  I think we'll probably get ready together in our hotel room too.  I wouldn't have him try to go anywhere, if this is important to you, then the guest bedroom is okay.

FI and I also live together. He is planning on staying at his parents house the night before the wedding, since the venue is between their house and ours. I'm pretty traditional, and I don't want us to see each other before the wedding. Plus, he has 4 brothers, all of whom are in the wedding, and they want to go play golf or something that morning with the other 2 groomsmen.

FI and I also live together, but we are also wanting to create some anticipation. We've decided to each book a suite at the hotel where our room block is, and invite our WP to stay with us to have one last night of "fun" before we're married. I'm planning on having a bit of a slumber party with my girls and renting some of our favorite movies to watch ("Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion" and "Muriel's Wedding").

Luckily, the suites are also on different floors, so we won't have to worry about running into each other.

This is exactly what we're doing; plus we're having an afternoon early evening wedding and make-up and hair is going to just come to the suite it's making it much easier for us :)

We also live together and have decided that my bridesmaids and I are going to book a suite at the hotel where our reception is at, which will make getting ready in the morning a whole lot easier! It will also be a ton of fun and build some anticipation for us. :-)

FI is staying at his best man's house. I don't see what the fuss is about but FI is insisting on not seeing me before.

I'd think the guest room if fine, but if it was me I'd be too tempted to sneak in there lol

I will be at my Parents house (in my room where my Mom helped me to get ready for my Prom!! yayy!!) My FI will be at a hotel room where we blocked rooms.  He wants to be with his Best Man and other OOT family who will be staying there.
